Laura Guilliam Batiste

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2, at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Laura Guilliam Batiste, 76, who passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Visiting hours will be observed at Notre Dame Catholic Church from 7 until 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Perry Jr. and Gerard Batiste; her sister, Sophie G.m Latulas; 11 grandchildren and five great- grandchildren, Ha’Jaia Batiste, Jaiden Batiste, Jaylen Eugene, Tyler Jones, and Amari Jones.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Batiste Sr.; a grandchild; her brothers, Adam, Morris and Batiste Gilliam; and her sisters, Rita Batiste, Serena Guilliam, Anna Jones and Mary Mitchell.
