Kenneth James Kidder Sr.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Regis Catholic Church for Kenneth James Kidder Sr., 63, who passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014, at his residence in Arnaudville.
Interment will be in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.
The Rev. Keenan Brown, pastor of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church, will officiate at the services. Readers will be Juanita Richard andKeith Schexnayder. Giftbearers will be Dee Dee Schexnayder and Brenda Latiolais.
Mr. Kidder was a native and lifelong resident of Arnaudville. He was a self-employed handy man all of his life. Mr. Kidder loved fishing and hunting at his camp in Bayou Courtableau.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Mona Bergeron Kidder of Arnaudville; one son, Kenneth J. Kidder Jr. of Arnaudville; two brothers, Earl John Kidder and his wife Alice, and Raymond Kidder and his wife Donna, all of Arnaudville; and three sisters, Jeanette K. Quebedeaux and her husband Daniel Jr., Juanita K. Richard and her husband Barney, and Brenda K. Latiolais and her husband Craig, all of Arnaudville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Merlis “Bye” Kidder and the former Lula Kidder, both natives of Arnaudville; and one brother, Herbert “Pete” Kidder.
A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday and will continue from 8 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Earl Kidder, Raymond Kidder, Ricky Bergeron, Rodney Bergeron, Burt Quebedeaux and Carrol Noel.
