Kelsey Charles Bourque
Catahoula – A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted for Kelsey Charles Bourque, 18, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at St. Rita Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Fabre officiating.
Interment followed at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.
Visitation was held at Dion Hall in Catahoula from 4 p.m. on Tuesday and remained open until the time of services. A prayer service was held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday by Pastor Gabe Smith with Our Saviors Church. A recitation of the rosary followed.
A native of Catahoula and resident of St. Martinville, Kelsey passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016, at his residence.
Kelsey was an avid outdoorsmen and enjoyed being outside more than anything. He loved hunting – especially duck hunting. Kelsey was content just riding around in his boat in Catahoula Lake. He also enjoyed tattoos and tattooing. Kelsey had been learning the art and was eager to test out his skills. He was a loving father and son and will be truly and deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Kelsey is survived by his infant daughter, Scarlet Marie Bourque; girlfriend, Desmond Baird; parents, Bryan and Stephanie Bourque Longman; brother, Ryan Longman; sisters, Skye Longman, Raven Longman and Jaci Longman; grandparents, Charles and Barbara Bourque and Kernny and Diane LeBlanc; uncles, Isaac Bourque and wife Sonya, and Keke Bourque and wife Rebecca; cousin, Kaitlyn Bourque; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Ryan Longman, Isaac Bourque, Keke Bourque, Dustin Courville, Dee Berard and Christian Finley.
