John ‘Big’ J. Borel

Cecilia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Aug. 20, (time pending), at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for John “Big” Joseph Borel, 72, who passed away on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge.
Visiting hours will be observed from 7 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, Aug. 20, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia.
Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Borel of Arnaudville; his brother, Abel Borel of Breaux Bridge; his sisters, Eula M. Calais of Houston, Texas, Emily Robicheaux of Arnaudville, and Mary Ezola Williams of Breaux Bridge.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Johnny and Donald Borel; his brother, George Borel Jr.; and his sisters, Mary L. Williams and Nola M. Durall.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
