Joe D. Standridge Sr.

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Joe “Papa Joe” D. Standridge, 86, who passed away on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016.
Visiting hours will be observed at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War.
He is survived by his sons, William Standridge, John Standridge and Joe Standridge Jr.; 11 grandchildren; step children, Byron Fuselier Sr., Daniel Fuselier, Arlene Guilliot, Steve Fuselier Sr. and Christine Bourque; 10 step grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Eric Sr. and Paul Standridge; brother, Bill Standridge; sister, Mary Standridge; a granddaughter; first wife, Frances Martin; and second wife, Winonna Standridge.
