Jimmy August Dupuis

Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Jimmy August Dupuis, 44, who passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2014.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Monday.
Reading for the service will be Terrence Delcambre. Interment will follow edat St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville.
Sergeant First Class Jimmy Dupuis honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army and the Louisiana National Guard. He is a Gulf War Veteran who retired after 24 years of service. Jimmy is a member of the St. Martinville VFW. He enjoyed tinkering and customizing his 1973 Bronco 4X4 and also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his father, August “Butch” Dupuis, Jr.; his mother, Terry Dugas Dupuis; his wife, Rhonda Doré Dupuis; his step-daughters, Lainey Poche Simon and her husband, Guy, Loren Poche, and Ashley Poche Berard and her husband, Lennet; and his two step-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, August A. Dupuis, Sr., paternal grandmother, Jeanne Laperouse Dupuis, maternal grandfather, James Dugas, Sr., maternal grandmother, Louella Trahan Dugas, and his brother, Lee James Crochet.
Pallbearers were United States Army Members.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville, was in charge of arrangements.
