Genevieve Hardy Angelle

Cecilia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M., on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, Louisiana for Genevieve Hardy Angelle, 83, who died peacefully on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Lafayette General Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Monsignor Robert Angelle and Father Michael Delcambre will co-celebrate the funeral mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Randy Paul Angelle and Gary Jude Angelle. Gift Bearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia, Louisiana on Friday, November 29, 2013, from 1:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. and on Saturday, November 30, 2013, from 8:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M.

Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.

Mrs. Genevieve Hardy Angelle, affectionately known as “Mamom”, was a native of Arnaudville, Louisiana, and a resident of Cecilia, Louisiana.
Faith. Family. Love. Grace. Strength. Hope. Tradition. Compassion. These are just a few of the traits that define Mamom. She was blessed with a beautiful life that will mark and inspire our lives forever. Mamom will be dearly missed by her family and friends and by all whose lives she touched.
Survivors include her sister, Rose Marie Rivette, wife of Roland Rivette. She is also survived by her children, Jacqueline Angelle Green, wife of Tex Green, John Harold Angelle, Jr., husband of Elaine Angelle, Randy Paul Angelle, husband of Annette Angelle, Will Joseph Angelle, husband of Priscilla Angelle, Pamela Angelle Guilbeau, wife of Francis Guilbeau, Leon Hardy Angelle, husband of Liz Angelle, Kenneth James Angelle, Sr., husband of Denise Angelle, Dean Patrick Angelle, husband of Elizabeth Angelle, and Gary Jude Angelle, husband of Cynthia Angelle.

She is also survived by twenty-seven grandchildren, Chad Green, Amanda Angelle, Cory Green, Emily Pickett, Carmen Guilbeau, Neal Angelle, Alicia Angelle, Monique Cenac, Cherise Hurlburt, Justin Angelle, Tiffany Thibodeaux, Crystal Hollier, Nicole Lebouef, Benjamin Guilbeau, Derrick Guilbeau, Caitlin Guilbeau, Ashley Guidry, Lacey Angelle, Codey Angelle, Kenneth Angelle II, Andre Angelle, Jean Angelle, Jeannemarie Angelle, Dustin Angelle, Dillon Angelle, Kyle Angelle and Kelsey Angelle.
She is also survived by twenty-nine great grandchildren, Aiden, Noah, Ryker, Jace, Kale, Cameron, Kendal, William, Ivan, Olivia, Ethan, Ahna, James, Heloise, Margaux, Genevieve, Camille, Mary Claire, Jacob, Juliette, Vivienne, Gage, Larson, Eathan, Chandler, Landon, Elise, Anniston and Brylee. She is also survived by two nieces, Melissa Usie and Amy Chalala and two nephews, Shane Rivette and Oscar Troy Rivette.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Harold Angelle, Sr.; her father, Leon Hardy; her mother, Wilda Calais Hardy; her great granddaughters, Chloe and Kristen; and one nephew, Roland Rivette, Jr.

Pallbearers will be her sons, John Harold Angelle, Jr., Randy Paul Angelle, Will Joseph Angelle, Leon Hardy Angelle, Kenneth James Angelle, Sr., Dean Patrick Angelle, and Gary Jude Angelle.

The family wishes to extend its deepest appreciation to Dr. Milton Jolivette, Dr. Warren Degatur, Dr. Gene Brierre, Dr. Jacques Noel and Dr. James Noriega for their care and compassion. The family also wishes to extend its deepest appreciation to the nurses and staff of Lafayette General and St. Martin Hospital for their care and compassion.
