Gale Ann Quebedeaux Addison
Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at St. Bernard Catholic Church’s Borel Center for Gale Ann Quebedeaux Addison, 68, who passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer for the past 14 years.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday and continued on Saturday at 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Rev. Gary Schexnayder officiated at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures were read by Wiladene Calais and Ramona Schexnayder. Gift Bearers were her grandchildren.
Entombment followed at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Gale enjoyed camping, going to the casino, and arts and crafts fairs and festivals. She especially looked forward to her annual trips to the flea markets of the “First Monday Trade Days” in Canton, Texas.
Gale was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who cherished times spent with her grandkids and visiting with her family and friends. Gale will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Kenneth P. Addison Sr.; her sons, Kenneth Addison Jr. and wife
Susan, and Kasey Addison and fiancée, Shannon Bourque; her daughters, Kristie Hebert and husband Greg, and Keisha Johnson and husband Jeremy; her brothers, Robert Quebedeaux and James Aaron Quebedeaux and wife Brenda; her sisters, Betty Louise Marks and boyfriend, Clarence, and Wanda Quebedeaux Guidry and husband Amos; her grandchildren, Jordan Addison and wife Heather, Amber Addison Touchet and husband Jacob, Braque Addison, Kaylen Addison, Alexis Addison, Brendon Addison, Kaysha Addison, Kasey Broussard, Kadence Barras, Braylon Breaux, Keeley Johnson, Andee Johnson, and Emmie Johnson; a great-grandchild, Kolton Addison; step grandchildren, Courtney Leonard, Paul Hebert, Laison Broussard, and Kaisley Broussard; step great-grandchildren, Jadon Leonard and Brylee Leonard; her brother-in-law, Jeff Addison and wife Cheryl; and her sister-in-law, Angelina Hardin and husband, Jacob.
She was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Therese Calais Quebedeaux; her in-laws, George and Eula Mae Dupuis Addison Jr.; her brother, Johnny Quebedeaux and wife Wilma; her sister, Eldine Quebedeaux Trahan and husband Earl; a nephew, Wendell Quebedeaux; and her brother-in-law, Samuel Marks.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Addison Jr., Kasey Addison, Jordan Addison, Braque Addison, Greg Hebert and Jeremy Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers were Ramona Schexnayder, Wiladene Calais, Kathy Blanchard and Jason Quebedeaux.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Our Lady of Lourdes Oncology Department, 4809 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy., Suite 100, Lafayette, LA 70508.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
