Emile ‘Bull’ Cormier

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Emile “Bull” Cormier, 90, who passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2014.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Monday and continued at 8 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Monday.
The Reader was Chris Domingue. Gift Bearers were his children. Altar Servers were Jake Domingue and Andon Robin.
Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Mr. Cormier honorably served in the United States Army during World War II. He received a Purple Heart and Victory Medals. Emile retired from working at Cargill Salt. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his son, Bill Garcia and his wife Vicki D. of Breaux Bridge; his daughters, Regina Cormier Rouly and her husband Mark of New Iberia and Linda Cormier Domingue of Breaux Bridge who was his caregiver that provided compassion and care during his illness; his brothers, Simon Cormier and his wife Lorraine of Breaux Bridge and Ernest Cormier and his wife Janelle of Nina; his sister, Inez Cormier Patin of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Billie Garcia Robin, Chris Domingue, Blaine Garcia and Taylor Rouly; and his great-grandchildren, Andon Robin, Jake Domingue and Mallory Domingue.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Aldridge Cormier; and his parents, Gerard and Margarite Belaire Cormier.
Pallbearers were Mark Rouly, Bill Garcia, Ron Badeau, Chris Domingue, Taylor Rouly and Billie G. Robin.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
