Edith Dugas

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Our Savior’s Church at 655 Terrace Hwy in Broussard for Edith Borel Dugas who went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Iberia Medical Center.
She was born July 14, 1929, and was 85 years young. She was a devoted wife and mother, and a doting grandmother and great grandmother. “Dit’s” passion was her family. She was a strong woman of faith, a legacy she leaves her family to continue. Her love and compassion reached out to so many who knew her. Her generosity could not be matched. She was not wealthy by earthly standards, but her rewards in heaven are great.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Dugas of Loreauville; her son, Jerry Dugas of Waverly, Pa., and his wife Kay, her son, Randy Dugas of Youngsville and his wife Polly; her grandchildren are Scott Brettrager of St. Martinville and his wife Angel, Andrea Dugas Charpentier of New Iberia and her husband Kendall, Jade Dugas of Wyoming, Pa., Justin Dugas of Pittsburgh, Pa., and his wife Meredith; her great-grandchildren are Austin Charpentier, Mindy Charpentier, Sawyer Brettrager and Paige Dugas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvee A. Dugas; her parents, James and Marie Johnson Borel; her brother, Raymond Borel; and her niece, June Borel Bass.
She will be greatly missed.
