Dolores Elizabeth Francois Babers

St. Martinville – Funeral services will be held for Dolores Elizabeth Francois Babers on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 201 Gary St., St. Martinville.
Visitation will be observed from 7 a.m. until the time of the service.
Interment will be at Queen of Peace Cemetery.
Dolores Elizabeth Francois Babers, 77, was born on May 2, 1937, and died Friday, April 18, 2015. She was united in marriage on December 27, 1958, and leaves her husband, Freddie Babers Sr. of St. Martinville.
Her survivors include six children, Freddie Babers Jr. (Crystal) of Parks, Kimberly Babers and Craig Babers Sr. of St. Martinville, Jeanne Babers of Atlanta, Ga., and Fredreka Babers Wiltz (Blair), Fredrek Babers (Roanna), and adopted son, Kelton Marshall (Bille), of St. Martinville.
Survivors also include her sisters, Earline “Lynn” Francois of St. Martinville, Thalia “Tay” Francois Charles of Dallas, Texas; sister-in-law, Renee Francois of St. Martinville; brothers, Larry “Ranny” Francois of Houston, Texas, Randell “Dee” (Shelia) Francois of Lafayette and Eddie “Cookie” Francois of St. Martinville; and step-mother, Dorothy Francois of St. Martinville.
She also leaves 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. They include Kimya Babers of Hammond, Kenisha Babers Turner (Broderick) of Houston, Texas, Kirby Babers of Lemoore, Cal., Alton Babers Sr. of Atlanta, Ga., Kyle Babers Jr. of St. Martinville, Ariel Babers of Dallas, Texas, Mahogany Narcisse of Lafayette, Craig Babers Jr. of New Iberia, Myles Babers of Fort Benning, Ga., Kendall Babers, Trey Babers and Craig Fontenette Jr. of St. Martinville; great-grandchildren, Jaylen, Braylon and Andre Turner of Houston, Texas, Alton Jr. and Kayden Babers of Atlanta, Ga., and Londyn Narcisse of Lafayette.
Also, mourning her death is a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Kyle Sr. and Myles; mother ,Jeanne Jean Baptiste Francois; father, Douglas Francois Sr.; sisters, Mary Jane and Maxela Francois, Maureen “Momma Mo” Francois Johnson and Dorothy “Dot­Tee” Francois Narcisse; and brothers, Michael “Genisee” Francois, Douglas “June” (Pearly Mae) Francois and Cannis Francois Sr.
