Cecile Sam

St. Martinville –- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a..m on Saturday, April 8, at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Cecile Sam, 80, who passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017, at her residence.
Visitation at Notre Dame Catholic Church will be from 7 until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Mindie) Duhon, Melinda Sam and Mrs. Kelton (Billie) Marshall; sons, William Jr., Gregory and Graylin Sam; sisters, Mrs. Harold (Ola) Bruno Sr. and Mrs. Floyd (Carolyn) Green; brother, Morris Thomas; 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, William Sam Sr.; her sister, Mary L. Thomas; and brothers, Calvin J. Sr., Joseph C. and Jerome Thomas Jr.
