Austin J. Mamou Sr.

Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Austin J. Mamou Sr., 79, who passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at River Oaks Retirement Manor.
Visiting hours will be observed at the funeral home from 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery.
He is survived by his spouse, Vesta Mamou; sons, Joseph L. and Austin Mamou Jr.; daughters, Mrs. Harold (Sandra) Parker Jr., Mary M. Duncan, Mrs. Eric (Rose) M. White and Demetria Batiste; 20 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Ruby Peltier and Doris Rubin.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild; brothers, Louis Sr., Dalton, Ashby, Andrew and Steven Mamou; and sisters, Eula McKnight and Inez Jones.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
