Amy Savoy Russo

A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Amy Savoy Russo, 92, who passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015.
As her last gift, she donated her body to the LSU School of Medicine.
She is survived by her daughter, Virginia “Ginger” (Pat) Benoit; and three sons, Wayne “Peter” (Lucille) Russo, Jerel “Poochie” (Sharon) Russo and Glynn Russo and his companion Sharon Hebert; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and her devoted nephew she raised, Merlin (Cynthia) Champagne.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Joe” Russo, her parents, Alexandre and Bertha Guidry Savoy; her sister, Eunice Champagne; her brother, Euton Savoy; a niece, Sylvia Savoy; and a nephew she raised, Jessie Champagne.
