Clifton was a true cowboy, awesome father, and loyal friend. He spent most of his time at the barn and riding his horses, Mac and Mister. He was our “Mr. Fixit” and would help anyone at the drop of a dime. He did everything for his family and made sure everyone was well taken care of. When one saw him, he was always the same, never changed. He was President of Good Ol’ Boyz Trailriding Club and was a dedicated and faithful member. He always looked forward to attending the Big 7-day Ride in Houston.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Lambert Calais; his daughters, Onteria Calais and Jaylin Calais; his sons, Gavin Solomon and Clifton Calais Jr.; his mother, Geraldine Semere; his father, Horace James Calais and wife Sandra; his sister, Brittany Potier; a step brother, Phillip Johnson Jr.; his maternal grandmother, Mary Jane Semere; his paternal grandmother, Margaret Calais; his godmother, Beverly Broussard; two godchildren, Darius Washington and Lanie John Louis; and his two horses, Mac and Mister.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Harold Semere; paternal grandfather, Bradley Calais Sr.; a step daughter, Chelsea Solomon; his uncles, Harold “Fat” Semere, Clifton Calais and Melvin Calais; and his godfather, Irron Roberts.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
