Education, registration for voters this week

The Annual Voter Registration/Education Week in Louisiana started Aug. 31 and will run through Sept. 4.
The St. Martin Parish Registrar of Voters office will be distributing voter registration/education packets to numerous locations throughout the parish. Also in the lobby of the Courthouse Annex there will be a display with valuable information. St. Martin Parish Registrar of Voters Patricia T. Guidry and her staff will be happy to answer any questions.
“We recently completed our annual canvass process and we have some voters who are currently inactive,” Guidry said. “Please take the opportunity to check your registration status before the fall election.”
