Former Breaux Bridge city judge busted on DWI

Attorney Glenn Soileau, a former city judge here, was cited by Breaux Bridge City Police for second-offense DWI, open container and reckless operation Saturday, Aug. 1, after a two-car accident at Poydras and Park Avenue.
Soileau, 67, was released on his own recognizance at the order of incumbent City Judge Randy Angelle, police said.
The BBPD initial incident report does not identify the other driver involved. It does state there were no injuries.
The accident occurred about 5:37 p.m., the report says.
Soileau served as Breaux Bridge city judge from 1984 to 1990.
A second-offense DWI is a misdemeanor. Conviction carries a fine of up to $1,000, 48 hours in jail, and 30 days of community service.
