TWO ST. MARTINVILLE MEN ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE DRUG AND FIREARM CHARGES
Narcotics agents with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Friday morning executed two search warrants at two different houses simultaneously on Governor Mouton Street in St. Martinville.
Deputies recovered approximately $20,000 in cash, crack cocaine, marijuana, unspecified pills and synthetic cannabinoids.
Several rifles and handguns were also recovered and two of them were identified as stolen weapons.
Joseph "Dix" Gilliam, 40, and Jonathan "T.J." Mason, 37, both of St. Martinville, were arrested and booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the following charges:
Gilliam:
· Possession of Schedule I CDS (Marijuana)
· Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS (Crack Cocaine)
· Possession of Schedule IV CDS (Clonazepam)
· Possession of Schedule II CDS (Amphetamine)
· Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
· Violation of Uniformed Controlled Dangerous Substance Law in a School Zone
· Illegal Carrying of Firearms in the presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance
· Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm
· Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
· Illegal Proceeds Derived from Drug Transactions
Mason:
· Possession of Schedule I CDS (Synthetic Cannabinoids)
· Illegal Carrying of Firearms in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance
· Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm.
