Crimes against children

St. Martinville — The police department has joined the Louisiana Department of Justice's Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Chief Paula Smith told the City Council Monday, June 2, that trained officers will be available to help the city investigate internet solicitation, and that St. Martinville officers will receive training in this special area of law enforcement, all at no cost to the city.
