St. Martinville salutes Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Observers of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day in St. Martinville gathered for a ceremony at the parish courthouse and then marched to a program of speeches and entertainment at the JCEP center on South Martin Luther King Jr. Drive on Sunday. Main speaker at the courthouse was state Rep. Terry Landry. Musical selections were offered by Brittany Jackson, Barbara Anthony and Lincoln Wiltz. Kelson Marshall recited a poem from his own pen. Moderator was Nary Smith. The event was sponsored by the Golden Keys Social & Civic Club.
