Marie Guidry LeBlanc

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Marie Guidry LeBlanc, 92, who passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, and continue at 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Kristine Devillier and Kim Robin. Gift Bearers will be Kaleb, Connor, Kalie, and Cade Robin.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge.
Mrs. LeBlanc was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Prayer Blanket Ministry. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking and baking, and she especially loved caring for her grandchildren. Marie always provided a hot meal every Saturday for her family and anyone else who wanted to eat. She was known to many for her genuine acts of kindness and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by two sons, Ron LeBlanc and wife Connie of Lafayette and Ricky LeBlanc and wife Cheryl of Breaux Bridge; her daughter, Betty Guidry and husband Larry of Breaux Bridge; one sister, Fabiola Huval; eight grandchildren, Doug Guidry and wife Annette, Marty Guidry and wife Sheri, Kristine Devillier and husband Johnny, Kim Robin and husband Gabe, Blake LeBlanc and wife Amanda Jo, and Austin, Torey, and Rees LeBlanc; 11 great-grandchildren, Tana, Trent, Kylie and Noah Guidry, Amanda and Ali Devillier, Kaleb, Connor, Kalie and Cade Robin, and Louis LeBlanc; and four great-great-grandchildren, Sydney O’Rourke, Sophia Devillier, Cohen Delahoussaye and Zander Guidry.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Roy LeBlanc; her parents, Paul and Azelie Theriot Guidry; six brothers, Simeon, Philozie, Lucien, Maurice “Lucere,” Ovey and David Guidry; and three sisters, Felonise Boyer, Innocent Huval and Enola LeBlanc.
Pallbearers will be Douglas Guidry, Marty Guidry, Blake LeBlanc, Austin LeBlanc, Torey LeBlanc and Rees LeBlanc.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge, 211 Berard St. is in charge of arrangements.
