Shane Dale Champagne

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 6, 2014, (time pending), at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Shane Dale Champagne, 46, who passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2014, at Ochsner Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Wednesday, and continue at 8 a.m. until time of service on Thursday at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
Scriptures will be read by Amie Knott and Audie Dejean. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Shane loved operating heavy equipment. He enjoyed watching football, hunting, and cooking. Shane was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who treasured times spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Breaux Champagne; his son, Shannon Allen Champagne; two daughters, Krystal Breaux Champagne and husband Derek Bergeron, and Heidi Nicole Champagne; two brothers, Christopher Dejean and Audie Dejean; two sisters, Cheryl Martinez and Seglenda Champagne; and two grandchildren, Lexie and Kaylie Bergeron.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Glenda Rivers Champagne.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Champagne, Audie Dejean, Chris Dejean, Shane Smith Jr., Shane Landry, and Derek Bergeron.
Honorary pallbearers will be Seglenda Champagne, Lloyd Degeyter Jr. and Roland Mouton.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge, 211 Berard St., (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
