DOTD t o widen I-10 from Henderson to the Basin

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) will hold a public meeting in the Henderson Recreational Building, 1015 Park Ave., Thursday, May 28, 4-7 p.m., to explain its widening and resurfacing project for Interstate 10 from the “Henderson Exit” to the Atchafalaya Floodway Bridge.
The proposed project will include complete replacement of the pavement within the existing the lanes and widening I-10 into the existing median.
DOTD had previously announced a similar project to widen and resurface I-10 from Lafayette to Breaux Bridge.
The purpose of this meeting is to provide information about the local project and to obtain input from interested parties. There will be a continuous multi-media presentation about the project and additional project information will be available.
Representatives from DOTD will be available at the open house to answer questions and discuss issues related to the project.
Verbal and written comments on the project can be submitted at the meeting. Comments, if postmarked by June 10, can also be mailed to the DOTD at:
