Aurelien LeBlanc, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 (time pending), at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Aurelien LeBlanc, Jr., 89, who passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 7 a.m. until time of service. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
Fr. David Broussard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Kolette LeBlanc. Gift Bearers will be Monique and Deborah LeBlanc. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Mr. LeBlanc was a veteran of World War II, honorably serving his country in the United States Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman 3rd Class. He was retired from the Atchafalaya Basin Levee District, where he worked as a supervisor for many years. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Genevieve Latiolais LeBlanc of Breaux Bridge; five sons, Ernie LeBlanc, Percy LeBlanc and wife, Debi, all of Breaux Bridge, Larry LeBlanc and wife, Monique, of Arnaudville, Kenneth LeBlanc and wife, Debbie, and Jody LeBlanc and wife, Millie, all of Breaux Bridge; four daughters, Linda Cyganiewicz and husband, Henry, of Huntsville, AL, Barbara LeBlanc, Debra LeBlanc, and Lori LeBlanc, all of Breaux Bridge; ten grandchildren, Monique (Eric) Hjalmquist, Todd Courville, Kyle (Katina) LeBlanc, Kolette LeBlanc, Taylor LeBlanc, Genevieve (Eve) Rouse, Robin Farish, Kym Floyd, Rusty Ryder, and Tommy Hebert; six great grandchildren, Brittany and Caroline Hjalmquist, Luke McDowell, Hunter and Fisher Floyd, and Krystina Dunaway; four great-great grandchildren, Skylar and Sadie Floyd and Ashley and Kaylee Hebert; and one great-great-great grandchild, Raylee Shay Hebert.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Aurelien LeBlanc, Sr. and Blanche Courville LeBlanc; two brothers, Gussa and Dieu Dona LeBlanc; four sisters, Lydnie LeBlanc, Sadie Johnson, Ida Broussard, and Evelyn Huval; and three infant siblings, Bercy, Freddie, and Andy LeBlanc.
Pallbearers will be Ernie, Percy, Larry, Kenneth, Jody, and Kyle LeBlanc.
Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Courville, Taylor LeBlanc, Luke McDowell, Bill Huval, Eric Hjalmquist, and Jimmy Lavergne.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge, is in charge of arrangements.
