Motorcyclist dies in crash

Allen Hypolite, 42, of New Iberia, was killed around noon Thursday, June 4, when he ran into the side of a Ford pickup truck as it was turning into a private driveway on Maurice Road.
Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office said Hypolite, who was transported to a local hospital, was reported deceased shortly before 3 p.m.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No charges have been filed.
