Leroy Guidry reelected chief of police in Henderson

HENDERSON
Henderson's chief of police, Leroy Guidry, was handily reelected Saturday, beating rivals Oliver "Mack" Lloyd and Joey J. "Hook" Huval.
Guidry received 292 votes or 61 percent.
Lloyd, formerly Guidry's second-in-command, got 166 votes for 35 percent, and Huval polled 23 votes and 5 percent.
On the national stage, the parish gave Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump its highest numbers, 67 percent and 52 percent, respectively.
Statewide, voters favored Clinton by 71 percent and Trump 41 percent.
