Early voting scheduled Oct. 10-17

St. Martin Parish Registrar of Voters Patricia T. Guidry announced that early voting for the Oct. 24 election will be Saturday, Oct. 10, through Saturday, Oct. 17, excluding Sunday.
Voting will be in person at any of the following locations:
•The registrar’s offices in the Courthouse Annex, 415 St. Martin St., St. Martinville;
•The Sydnie Mae Durand Senior Citizen Center (Council on Aging building), 391 Cannery Rd., Breaux Bridge;
•St. Martin Parish Water District No. 1 Building, 1073 Tower Tank Rd., Stephenville.
Hours at all three locations are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Offices on the ballot include governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, attorney general, treasurer, commissioner of Agriculture and Forestry, commissioner of Insurance, BESE District 3, state representative for the 96th District, District Judge 16th Judicial District Court ES 2, Div. D, sheriff, clerk of court, assessor, Parish Council member District 1.
There are also four proposed constitutional amendments: No. 1 – Budget and Transportation Stabilization Trust ; No. 2 – Funds for Transportation; No. 3 Fiscal Legislative Session; and No. 4 – Property Tax Exemption for Public Land/Property.
