Arnaudville Chamber’s new CEO has diverse experience in France

Last month Huey “Joey” Wyble was appointed CEO of the Arnaudville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Wyble is a native of Arnaudville. After a few years of working as a pediatric nurse in Acadiana, he left for France where he taught English communication and American culture at top French universities for the past 16 years.
With his wife, Candide, Wyble has been involved in associations that promote sustainable agriculture and primate conservation in Africa as well as rescuing stray cats and abandoned dogs for shelter homes in France.
Deeply influenced by the “Grow Food Not Lawns” and “Décroissance” movements, Wyble said he believes in protecting the planet, consuming local, gardening and renewing with a simple and meaningful way of living.
Having longed for years to come back to his hometown of Arnaudville, Wyble said, he finally made the move when his children, Matis and Nico Jeanne, left France to settle in Berlin, Germany.
Wyble said he wants to dedicate his time and energy to help local businesses and associations to develop partnerships and to thrive in harmony with our beloved Cajun identity.
