Al “Pyook” Berard Festival Saturday, Nov. 28

A festival celebrating the life of the late Al “Pyook” Berard will take place on Saturday, Nov. 28 at the Henry Guidry Memorial Park.
Musicians, family and friend will gather at the day-long tribute to Berard to raise funds for the Al Berard Memorial Music Fund, which will provide scholarships and music instruments to up and coming musicians of Acadiana. In between bands, students of the “Al Berard Memorial Music Fund at Community Foundation of Acadiana” will be performing.
The festivities begin at 10 a.m. and admission is $10, free for children 12 and under. Leave your ice chest at home and bring your lawn chair. There will be plenty of food, fun and a live/silent auction.
Live entertainment includes:
•10:30 a.m. – Jambalaya avec D.L. Menard.
•11:50 a.m. – Forest Huval & Friends.
•1 p.m. – Jason Frey.
•2:20 p.m. – Lee Benoit.
•3:40 p.m. – Paul Daigle.
•5 p.m. – Huval Family Band and dance competition
•6:30 p.m. – Nick-L-Beer.
•7:50 p.m. – Basin Brothers.
•8:30 p.m. – Bonsoir Catin
•9:50 Robbie Romero & the Hub City All Stars.
