SUSPECT IN VENDING MACHINE THEFTS ARRESTED IN KENTUCKY
Earlier this month, investigators with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office sought the public’s assistance in locating a suspect who was wanted in connection with several vending machine thefts in the Cecilia area of St. Martin Parish. At that time there were also similar thefts that occurred in Breaux Bridge, Youngsville and Broussard.
An investigation into the thefts pointed to a suspect as David Roy Price, 49, of New Tazwell, Tenn. Investigators describe him as a drifter who targeted businesses in and around St. Martin Parish.
On July 2, 2015, an arrest warrant was issued for Price citing the following charges: theft over $750 and criminal damage to coin operated devices.
On Wedneday, July 29, SMSO investigators were notified that Price had been arrested in Mayfield, Ky., for crimes similar to those committed in St. Martin Parish. He will be extradited back to St. Martin Parish at a later date to be booked in on the above charges.
