St. Martinville police report two stabbed, one arrested Tuesday

St. Martinville – A 46-year-old man was arrested Tuesday, March 18, after allegedly stabbing two persons during an altercation in the 600 block of Margaret Street.

The St. Martinville Police Department said both victims, who have not been identified, were listed in stable condition at an area hospital.

David Evans, of the 700 block of Gertrude St., St. Martinville, was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on suspicion of attempted second degree murder in lieu of $150,000 bond.

The incident is still under investigation.
