St. Martinville man busted on sex charge

The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a 25-year-old St. Martinville man after he admitted to having inappropriate sexual conduct with a juvenile.

According to Sheriff’s Office Spokesperson Captain Megan Vizena, “Dusti Smith, age 25, of St. Martinville has been arrested for two counts of oral sexual battery and two counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.”

Vizena said, “A complaint was filed with our office on May 5 by the victim and the victim’s mother. The alleged incident occurred at victim’s home in Sunset.”

Smith is currently being held in the St. Landry Parish Jail with a $60,000 bond.
