St Martinville man arrested in theft of chainsaws

Investigators with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Tuesday, Jan. 21, arrested Dillon Mier, 22, St. Martinville, on suspicion of the theft of three chainsaws and a gas-powered blower.

According to SMSO Maj. Ginny Higgins, the theft occurred in Catahoula on Dec. 30.

The chainsaws and blower were recovered.

Mier was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on suspicion of theft over $1,500. Bond was set at $2,000.00.
