Man killed in lower St. Martin motorcycle crash

A Morgan City man died Sunday afternoon a motorcycle crash on Four Mile Bayou Road.
Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office said Trenton L. Helflin, 25, ran off the road in a curve and hit a utility pole. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The call came in around 2 p.m.
Alcohol did not appear to be a factor but Helfin did appear to be speeding, deputies said.
