BBPD arrests suspected child molester

On Monday, Nov. 16, the Breaux Bridge Police Department arrested Calvin Joseph Gauthia Jr., 42, of Abbeville, on suspicion of molesting of a juvenile.
The arrest stems from an incident in September 2015 where Gauthia allegedly molested a 5-year-old girl.
Gauthia was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center in lieu of bail.
