ARRESTS MADE IN THEFT OF BRASS FITTINGS FROM SUGAR COOPERATIVE

ST. MARTINVILLE
Investigators with the St. Martin Sheriff's Office Wednesday, July 29, arrested James Alexander, 41, of Breaux Bridge and Jimmy Batiste, 57, of St. Martinville, for the theft of brass pipe fittings from the Louisiana Sugarcane Cooperative.
Both men are employees of the cooperative, whose mill is on Resweber Highway in St. Martinville.
Alexander and Batiste were booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on suspicion of illegal possession of stolen things over $1,500.
