St. Martin Parish Livestock Show Jan. 23-24

Breaux Bridge – The 77th annual St. Martin Parish 4-H and FFA Livestock Show will be held Friday and Saturday, Jan. 23 and 24, at the parish Livestock Show Barn on the Breaux Bridge High School campus, 1015 Breaux Bridge Sr. High Rd.
The show officially opens with the arrival of livestock at 4 p.m. Friday. Sheep and goats will be weighed in from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Deadline for sheep and goat arrival is 5:30 p.m. Market hogs and commercial gilts will be weighed between 6 and 9 p.m.
All hogs must arrive and be weighed in Friday night. Deadline for arrival is 9 p.m.
Judging will being at 6:30 p.m. Friday.

•Goat Showmanship – oldest to youngest, overall, Pee Wee.
•Market Goats.
•Breeding Goats.
•Old Timers Goat Showmanship Fundraiser.
•Sheep Showmanship – oldest to youngest, overall, Pee Wee.
•Breeding Sheep.
•Market Lambs.
•Old Timers Sheep Showmanship Fundraiser.
Champions and Reserve Champions will have their photographs taken following, with Breeding, Market and Showmanship in each specie in show order.
The show closes for the day at 10 p.m.
Beef and dairy cattle may arrive beginning at 5:30 a.m. Saturday. The deadline for arrival is 7 a.m.
Judging begins at 8 a.m. Saturday.

•Dairy Cattle, Dairy Showmanship – oldest to youngest, overall, Pee Wee.
•Old Timers Dairy Showmanship Fundraiser.
•Beef Showmanship – oldest to youngest, overall, Pee Wee.
•Beef Classes – Steers, Bulls, Heifers.
•Old Timers Beef Showmanship Fundraiser.
•Market Hogs – Barrow Only Division, Cross Division, Overall.
•Breeding Swine.
•Swine Showmanship – oldest to youngest, overall, Pee Wee.
•Old Timers Swine Showmanship Fundraiser.
Champions and Reserve Champions will have their photographs taken around 11:30 a.m., with Breeding, Market and Showmanship in each specie in show order. Following that will be the Champion Showmanship group picture including all showmanship champions in each specie except Pee Wee and without animals.
Parish Premier Exhibitor winners will be announced at 12:45 p.m.
Sale begins at 1 p.m.
