First United Methodist Church to set nuptials

Dr. and Mrs. Craig M. Brammer of Crowley are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their

daughter, Susan Marie, to Jeffery Jude Istre.

The bride-elect if the granddaughter of Mittie Brammer and the late Chris Brammer and Shirley Fry and the late Robert A. Fry, all of Crowley.

Susan is a graduate of Crowley High School and attained a bachelors in art education from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and a master’s degree from George W. Truett Theological Seminary also in Waco, Texas. At the present time, she is employed with the Acadia Parish School Board as an art teacher.

The groom-elect is the son of the late Angelas Istre, Jr. of Lyons Point and Deanna Landry of Lafayette.

Jeff is a graduate of Kaplan High School and served in the Army branch of the military for eight years. He completed tours in Germany, the Middle East and is a Desert Storm veteran. He is currently self-employed.

The couple has plans to marry on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church of Crowley. Afterwards the couple will reside in the Crowley area.
