Two St. Martinville Men Arrested on Drug Charges

The St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation in reference to possible illegal drug activity in a trailer park off of Russo Milazzo Road in St. Martinville. Today, Agents with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Mr. Christopher Filer, 35, St. Martinville and Mr. Ernie Filer. 56, also from St. Martinville.

Breaux Bridge Sex Offender Arrested For Non-Compliance

The St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation in reference to a non-compliant Sex Offender from Breaux Bridge. On December 20, 2013, Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Guy Dugas, 50, of Breaux Bridge for failing to notify law enforcement authorities of his change of address.

New Closure Hours For Pontoon Bridge

Beginning Saturday, December 21, 2013, the Butte Larose Pontoon Bridge off of the Henderson Levee Road, will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. daily until further notice. This will allow crews to continue the process of removing the buildup of water lilies that have accumulated near the bridge.

Pontoon Bridge on Henderson Levee Road Closed One Hour Per Day

Beginning Wednesday, December 18, 2013, the Butte Larose Pontoon Bridge off of the Henderson Levee Road, will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. daily until further notice. This will allow crews to remove the buildup of water lilies that have accumulated near the bridge.
