St. Martin Deputies say Cecilia car burglaries solved

St. Martinville – The St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office reports solving a rash of vehicle burglaries that occurred on Preston Guidry Road in the Cecilia area.

On Monday, March 24, Terrance Anderson, 28, of Breaux Bridge allegedly fled from deputies following their response to a domestic disturbance.

St. Martinville police report two stabbed, one arrested Tuesday

St. Martinville – A 46-year-old man was arrested Tuesday, March 18, after allegedly stabbing two persons during an altercation in the 600 block of Margaret Street.

The St. Martinville Police Department said both victims, who have not been identified, were listed in stable condition at an area hospital.

Acadians land in St. Martinville – again!

The 10th annual Acadian Memorial Heritage Festival and Wooden Boat Congrès March 15 was everything that could be expected and more. The clouds cooled down the day for the roughly 2,000 participants who took part in cultural activities, a re-enactment, dancing, shopping, eating, French theater, boating, children`s activities and more.
