'Henderson exit' might actually be in Henderson soon
The “Henderson”exit becoming part of Henderson is one step closer to reality, according to Mayor Sherbin Collette. Glenn Soileau, plaintiff’s attorney in the suit to block the annexation, announced a deal had been reached some weeks ago. Collette says the deal is awaiting Soileau’s final approval and signatures.
St. Martinville City Council backs new community college
The City Council Monday threw its “unanimous and enthusiastic” support behind plans for a bigger and better South Louisiana Community College campus in St. Martinville.
Parish Councilman Craig Prosper said the re-energized facility envisioned by SLCC would create jobs as well as provide an entry-level labor force in the city.
