Special School Board meeting May 18

The St. Martin School Board has scheduled a special meeting for 5 p.m. today (Wednesday) at its Administrative Office on Corporate Boulevard here.
Taking up the bulk of the three-page agenda are matters dealing with construction and maintenance projects being funded by bond issues authorized in 2009, 2013 and 2016.

First new sidewalks in 50 years!

In their May 10 meeting, Breaux Bridge aldermen moved to go ahead with five city-wide improvements to be funded by accumulated special tax district receipts. The funding was made possible by last month’s council decision changing restrictions on use of the one-cent special taxing district funds.
